JOB VACANCY: FULL TIME CHEF

⏰ Working Hours: 40-45 hours per week over five days (will include weekends and evenings). We aim for this to be a 4.5 day week.
Are you a chef with desire to work within a busy independent kitchen? We’re looking for someone to join our dynamic team at The Heathfield, a thriving pub in Honiton, and The Thirsty Farmer, a charming village pub in Whimple, as we build our business. You may be asked to work in both sites if this is of interest. Both sites offer live in opportunities for the right candidate.
As a pivotal member of our team, you’ll contribute to our journey by taking on an active role within the kitchen and support with food prep for the day.
We have a wide variety of menu choices and a plated roast option every Sunday. You will play a key part in shaping future menus.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Passionate about food with a drive to always demonstrate your best work
-Good all-round knowledge of cleanliness and food safety
-An understanding of ordering, wastage and margins
-An understand of dietary and allergy requirements
-Excellent time management with the ability to work under pressure
-Be able to commute to work
-A strong team player who also has the ability to work alone when needed

Responsibilities

-Preparing food for service (from a la carte to Sunday roasts to buffets)
-Assisting with food ordering
-Maintaining food safety and cleanliness
