The candidate will have proven experience in preparing traditional and modern Thai dishes, with deep knowledge of Thai ingredients, cooking methods, and flavor balance. As our Thai Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, flavorful dishes, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and leading the kitchen team to uphold our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. This position requires creativity, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring consistent quality and authenticity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Thai Chef is a plus or in a similar role within a Thai or Asian cuisine-focused restaurant.
  • knowledge of traditional Thai cooking techniques, spices, herbs, and ingredient preparation.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience managing a kitchen team.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Creativity in menu design and food presentation, with a commitment to authenticity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with all staff.
  • Passion for Thai cuisine and hospitality, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Bartending or beverage pairing knowledge is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Menu Creation & Execution: Develop, prepare, and present a diverse menu of authentic Thai dishes that reflect the restaurant’s style and customer preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
  • Daily Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistent taste, quality, and portion control.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and train kitchen staff, providing clear guidance and fostering a positive, efficient work environment.
  • Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely order delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed while minimizing waste.
  • Innovation: Experiment with new recipes, seasonal specials, and creative plating to enhance the dining experience while staying true to Thai culinary traditions.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of kitchen equipment at all times.
