Description We are seeking an experienced and organized Chef Manager to oversee all dietary and food service operations within our facility. This role is responsible for managing kitchen staff, supervising meal preparation, maintaining compliance with health and sanitation standards, and ensuring high-quality food service for patients, staff, families, and guests. Responsibilities Oversee daily food service and meal preparation operations Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff Ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health regulations and facility standards Manage food purchasing, inventory, invoices, and budgeting Develop menus, reports, surveys, and departmental goals Coordinate food services with other departments and special events Maintain sanitation, safety, and quality standards throughout the kitchen Support performance improvement initiatives and departmental operations #INDHP Requirements Associate’s Degree in Food Service Management or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of food service experience in institutional, commercial, or military settings preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards required Experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings is a plus #INDHP
