SUMMARY:

Are you a passionate Chef ready to elevate your career? We are seeking a Chef Manager ready to evolve and advance into the role of Director of Dining. This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of a Business Dining account. The Chef ensures client, customer service/satisfaction with efficient cost-effective management that both meets and exceeds stated expectations. This role will lead all aspects of foodservice-related activities, including cafe, Chef Table, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and all client-related activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
• Solid understanding of food and catering trends with a focus on international cuisine, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable
• Catering experience
• Strong supervisory, leadership, management and mentor skills
• Strong communication on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels
• Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
• Proficient digital literacy to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet
• ServSafe® Certified

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates and participates in the preparation and service of Food & Beverage within account
• Interviews, hires, trains associates; plans, assigns, and provides mentorship; appraises performance; rewards and develops teams; addresses complaints and resolves issues
• Prepares and leads annual budget
• Use company systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll/time-keeping, etc.
• Adheres to company food standards for preparation, presentation, sanitation and safety (meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines) and portion control
