Job Overview:
We are seeking a Chef Manager to join our team in overseeing the culinary operations at Weston All Saints Primary School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in the hospitality industry.
35 hours a week 7:30am to 2:30pm (flexible)
Duties:
- Manage and lead the kitchen team in food production and preparation
- Cooking in a busy kitchen with support from the kitchen team
- Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in contract catering
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated leadership in a kitchen environment
