Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to lead the kitchen at a welcoming pub in Walsingham, Norfolk. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, consistency, and strong culinary leadership to our food operation. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high standards in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Manage, train, and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Create and update menus that reflect seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Take ownership of food stock management, ordering, and minimising waste.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism within the kitchen at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Chef in a hospitality or food service setting.
  • Strong culinary skills and a hands-on approach to kitchen leadership.
  • Confidence in managing a kitchen team and running all aspects of food service.
  • Knowledge of cost control, stock rotation, and waste minimisation.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Food Safety Level 2 or higher (preferred).
  • A genuine passion for good food, pub culture, and hospitality.
