    An opportunity exists qualified Chefs to join our well established and highly reputable Catering Department at Prince of Wales Private Hospital on a Full-time basis.
    Your work as a chef will contribute to our patients experience with us; providing exceptional meals during their stay. We offer a supportive atmosphere, work life balance and no late nights!
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer/patient service by preparing nutritious food in a timely manner, ensuring the cleanliness of kitchens and food preparation, disposing of unused food appropriately, and ordering food supplies.
  • Demonstrate cost effectiveness by using produce effectively and managing waste.
  • Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a positive team culture, supervising and providing guidance to kitchen staff, and by liaising with dieticians and other staff to create an experience that makes a difference.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education. Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
  • Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in team meetings, quality and audit activities, and ensuring compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
