Job Type: Permanent position, Full time. Must be available to work on weekends and public
holidays.
We are seeking a passionate and driven Chef to lead our kitchen operations. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a growing venue, develop innovative menus, and contribute to a supportive team culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant’s Italian cuisine.
  • Prepare high-quality dishes that ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold the highest standards of food quality and

hygiene.

  • Manage ingredient inventory and procurement to minimise waste and optimise freshness.
  • Adapt and develop new recipes to enhance the menu and satisfy diverse palates.
  • Ensure the presentation of dishes is visually appealing and consistent with brand

standards.

  • Handle special dietary requests and allergies with careful attention to detail.
  • Monitor food and labour costs to stay within budget constraints.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Must hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Must have over 3 years of local experience in a similar culinary environment.
  • Must possess the ability to lead a team and maintain high standards under pressure.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and the latest food trends.
  • Should have excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers and staff.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
