Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with management to design and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and plating to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, monitor food costs, and ensure efficient use of ingredients with minimal waste.
  • Maintain portion control and present dishes to a high visual standard.
  • Assign tasks, train, and support kitchen staff to ensure strong team performance.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it operates under optimal conditions.
  • Implement effective food storage practices to maintain freshness, proper rotation, and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Communicate with management to resolve kitchen issues and ensure smooth daily operations.
    Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $27- $33 per hour.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or at least a relevant Level 4 qualification.
  • Available to work on weekends and late evening shifts
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent coordination and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide and support staff
