JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our busy Chinese takeaway. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in wok cooking and be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience using the wok with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Strong skills in wok handling with the ability to cook quickly and efficiently.
• Expertly handle the wok for stir-frying, deep-frying, and other cooking methods.
• Ability to handle high-volume cooking during busy periods.
• Skilled in food preparation, including cutting, chopping, and cooking various Chinese dishes.
• Previous experience in a Chinese restaurant or takeaway is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high food quality standards.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes using traditional wok techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
• Assist in food preparation, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared quickly and to a high standard.
• Work as part of a team to provide excellent service to our customers.
