Are you a talented, passionate Chef looking for your next challenge in a vibrant, independent café at the heart of the Cotswolds?
Roots + Seeds has been proudly rooted in Cirencester for over two years, serving seasonal, sustainable, and locally-sourced food from our flagship café on the Bathurst Estate. With a focus on scratch cooking, creativity, and community, we’re now looking for an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team and help us continue raising the bar.
The Role

You’ll work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen brigade to:

• Deliver consistently high standards of food, flavour, and presentation
• Cook with seasonality and sustainability at the core
• Contribute ideas for menu development and specials
• Support smooth service through excellent organisation and teamwork
• Uphold high levels of kitchen hygiene, safety, and efficiency
• Play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior team members

This is a hands-on role in a busy, creative kitchen – perfect for a Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and wants to make a real impact.

You’ll Need To Be:

• An experienced Chef with a proven track record in quality kitchens
• Passionate about fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced food
• Calm under pressure, well organised, and a team player
• Skilled in prep, service, and stock management
• Flexible, reliable, and eager to grow with the business
• Someone who values balance – we don’t believe in burning out our team
