  • Lead all aspects of food operations including food safety, preparation and service
  • Preparation and service of meals ensuring nutritious and wholesome food and variety of food.
  • Preparation of special diets and modified diets as required including low salt, diabetic, soft and pureed.
  • Ordering and/or oversight of ordering of food supplies.
  • Preparation and service of meals for functions.
  • Maintain efficient cost control with regards to food preparation.
  • Work in conjunction with the Manager to constantly refine and improve the food service standards

  • Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork
  • Your track record of leadership, ability to coordinate kitchen operations in a busy and fast-paced environment
  • Your experience in menu planning and catering to modified diets
  • Your ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery as well as Food Safety Certification
  • Australian Working Right
