The Orangery Restaurant sits at the centre of an award-winning 5-star rated restaurant with rooms; we are one of the top rated restaurants in the Stirling area on Tripadvisor. The style is refined dining with a focus on innovation and quality using seasonal, local and foraged produce. We are continually developing our offering and looking to establish a strong team under the leadership of our Head Chef.

Ideally you will be an ambitious chef who is keen to develop and apply their skills in an environment focused on quality rather than quantity. For both roles we are happy to consider chefs looking to take the next step up in their career. As a minimum we are looking for candidates that are:

Responsibilities

THE ROLE(S)

Both roles offer the successful candidate an opportunity to grow and benefit with the success of the business. For both roles responsibilities include:

  • Delivering food of high quality both in taste and visual presentation
  • Supporting and leading (as required) food preparation
  • Contributing to the design of new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring compliance with food and health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and in close liaison with front of house staff to ensure excellent customer service
  • Engaging with customers
  • Contributing to a positive work environment as part of the wider team

For the Sous role we are looking for someone who can:

  • Lead kitchen service in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Assist with ordering of stock and liaising with suppliers
  • Contribute to the development and training of kitchen staff

Detailed duties and working hours will be negotiated and agreed with the Head Chef.
