Edmonds & Greer is a well established busy cafe in Oatley. We are looking for experienced Chefs to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of employment experience in similar role/ reputable venues
  • Chef qualification & Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is an advantage but not essential
  • Full Australian working rights and strong English communication

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Prepare & cook dishes to ensure quality & freshness
  • Can run a shift in a busy cafe environment; place orders & manage stock as required
  • Cook the full range of menu items in accordance with recipes, standard procedures, methods & dietary needs
  • Follow health, safety, food handling & storage regulations closely
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Great focus, positive attitude, strong work ethic & well organised, keeps a clean well managed kitchen
  • Can work as part of a team, communicate well & guide/train other staff
  • Can work quickly, efficiently, plan ahead, & are reliable

Responsibilities
  • Full time salaried Chef positions
  • Working with our Head Chef and kitchen team in a hands on position to prepare & cook food for in house dining, catering & functions.
  • Place orders with suppliers, manage inventory, & prep lists
  • Will require you twice per week to lead & run the service
  • Flexibility as to days of the week worked, but 1 weekend day shift is required.
  • Assist in the planning of menu changes & daily specials.
