Meadow is a new independent space offering breakfast, brunch, lunch and healthy treats. A warm and welcoming building where fresh, delicious, healthy food and drink meets an inspiring art gallery located on the High Street in Stockbridge. With a background in operating successful gastro pubs in London, we are looking to open something new and fresh this summer. Our goal is to create a team in the kitchen to inspire our customers into a healthy delicious way of eating. Freshly made breakfast, brunch and salad lunches (think Ottolenghi) from high quality local suppliers.
A successful candidate will have prior experience working in a full-service restaurant, willing to work with our friendly team, although he or she does not need to be professionally trained. An understanding of vegan, gluten free and nutritionally balanced foods.
Our organisation is seeking a Chef/Sous Chef that is experienced in kitchen management, menu planning and food prep. The ideal candidate will be familiar with fresh ingredients and will use innovative cooking techniques to ensure that our menu is always up-to-date. The Chef will be working under the direction of the owner, and his/her leadership style should reflect a collaborative attitude with all other kitchen staff in order to ensure the successful execution of any projects, events or activities. A successful candidate will have prior experience working in a full-service restaurant, although he or she does not need to be professionally trained.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the kitchen crew leader.
  • Coordinate the activities of kitchen employees.
  • Control the quality of food and beverages served in the restaurant.
  • Schedule kitchen workers and oversee their work.
  • Prepare and cook food according to menu or recipe specifications.
  • Order and store food, equipment, and supplies.
  • Supervise kitchen cleaning and maintenance duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
