JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and food production, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering high-quality dishes that reflect our nursery ethos.
This position is for 2 days a week - Thursday and Friday with the possibility to work a Wednesday, job sharing with our current chef. Working 9am to 2:30pm, this position is ideal for anyone looking to step back into a kitchen role with full support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage a small kitchen effectively.
  • Passion for nutrition and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively within the kitchen.
