Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a talented and motivated Chef Supervisor to join our Catering team. This is a key role in delivering a high-quality, value-for-money food service that supports the wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

As a Chef Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operation of one or more of our catering outlets. Your key duties will include:

  • Supervising catering assistants and delegating daily tasks.
  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting healthy, imaginative meals to a high standard.
  • Managing stock, placing orders, controlling portion sizes and food wastage, and maintaining profitability.
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, allergy, and risk management regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and internal monitoring systems, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
  • Supporting sustainability practices in food and product procurement.
  • Banking daily income and maintaining a 5-star food hygiene rating in all outlets.
  • Being flexible to work across multiple sites, including evenings and weekends as needed.
