JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Red Seal Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food safety and handling. As our Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that our restaurant maintains the highest standards of quality and service. This role is perfect for someone who wants to introduce a lunch and dinner menu to our Inn and to build on our existing Special Events business.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Red Seal Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Experience in team management and restaurant operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development and presentation.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

  • Collaborate with team members to create new menu items and improve existing recipes.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
  • Manage kitchen staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency in quality.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
