Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef with a strong sales orientation to join our team. This unique role combines culinary expertise with business development, focusing on bridging the gap between kitchen innovation and market needs in the food industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep knowledge of food preparation, product applications, and especially probiotics, to inspire clients, drive sales, and support product development.
This position is ideal for a chef who is ready to step beyond the kitchen and play a key role in sales, client consultation, and food innovation.
Key Responsibilities

  1. Culinary & Client Engagement
  • Demonstrate food products and ingredients to clients, showcasing creative applications and recipe development.
  • Work closely with food production and processing clients to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Provide culinary presentations, tastings, and technical demonstrations that highlight product benefits.
  • Address client inquiries and offer professional culinary support.
  1. Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Actively contribute to sales targets by promoting food ingredients and solutions to key accounts.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to design and execute sales strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities in restaurants, catering companies, food processors, and retailers.
  1. Technical & Culinary Consultation
  • Advise clients on food product applications, recipe formulations, and menu innovations, particularly with probiotics and other functional ingredients.
  • Stay updated on food trends, nutrition, and health-focused innovations.
  • Assist clients with incorporating new ingredients into their production or menu while maintaining quality and compliance with food standards.
  1. Cross-Team Support
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with product launches.
  • Create compelling recipe concepts, menus, and culinary content for promotional purposes.
  • Support training sessions and workshops for both internal teams and customers.
  1. Market Research & Reporting
  • Monitor food market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs and propose new product ideas.
  • Track sales performance, prepare progress reports, and present insights to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Equivalent hands-on culinary experience will be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional chef experience, ideally with exposure to food product development, demonstrations, or foodservice sales.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Culinary Expertise: Strong knowledge of food preparation, flavor profiles, and product applications.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with probiotics, functional foods, and food safety practices.
  • Sales & Client Service: Ability to present products persuasively, with a proven track record of engaging clients.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative approach to recipe/product adaptation to meet client needs.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple client projects and deadlines.
