Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pub Chef to join our team in creating culinary delights in a vibrant traditional village pub. We would consider someone who is new to the trade with 1-3 years experience. We run a Free house with lots of locals and the pub has a great following on social media. Its in the country with a field of miniature donkeys nextdoor and very dog friendly - Bring your dog to work but not in the kitchen! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to be creative with seasonal local foods for specials. We are open to your ideas and creative flare. Could suit a Chef de partie or someone newly qualified on their a chef position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Create and develop innovative menu items while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or themed menus
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Ability to work well with split shifts
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
-2 full days off a week (Monday and Tuesday plus Sunday evening
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays although service hours 25 hrs a week Wednesday to Saturday service hours are 12-2.15 and 6-8.30pm Sunday 12-5pm
