Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

preparing and cooking food
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Estimating food and labour costs
Planning and organizing special functions
Create and promote specials
Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
Manage service of food and beverage within the restaurant
Planning menus in consultation with head Chef and restaurant managers
Ensuring facilities comply with health regulations
Ensuring all equipment are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
Prepare weekly rosters for the entire kitchen staff.
select and provide training to staff as required
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures to new staff
Conduct regular meetings with staff time to time to get feedback
Good communication skills to handle complaints or resolve disputes
Good understanding customer needs and providing good quality of service
Ensure clear communication (kitchen) with front staff to create effective working practices.
Maintain a constant focus on always providing excellent customer experiences
