Description

The Foundry is looking for a Chef to join our team in Brecon, Powys. This is a part -time position with the opportunity for overtime.

Experience:

  • Chef in Training preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience cooking using various types of kitchen equipment including: grills, fryers, ovens, etc.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper preparation of foods for consumption or presentation

Experience:

  • Chef: 2 years (preferred)
  • Cooking: 1 year (required
Responsibilities
  • Prepare food to specification, this will include the ability to create and develop 4 new menus per annum.
  • Set up and stock kitchen equipment with proper supplies for each shift
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, including but not limited to temperature, sanitary, and quality standards
  • Work with staff to ensure proper food service is provided to all customers
  • Perform opening closing tasks such as inventory, cleaning, and maintenance
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, cutting tools, and other kitchen equipment
  • ordering stock
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Complete daily prep work.

Experience:

  • Chef in Training preferred or equivalent experience
