OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and passionate chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team, while also being able to work alongside our Head Chef.
Within our kitchen we strive to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Our restaurant is located next to the Theatre Royal, so we experience busy times during shows (afternoons and evenings). In order to work within our kitchen you will need to be confident and collected within a fast paced working environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team management and leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Previous experience in culinary roles that demonstrate your ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within the kitchen team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
  • Train new kitchen staff on procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and report any issues promptly.
