We are a bar with food. A small but popular independent bar in Cleckheaton, serving high quality steaks, bar snacks, plates and platters and bottomless brunch. Our kitchen is small and open providing a central focus of our busy bar. Perfect for the chef who likes to be seen!

JOB SUMMARY

We pride ourselves in our unique offer, serving the highest quality food and drink in an informal yet first class venue. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to run our small and unique kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, hardworking attitude and charisma, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service in a vibrant and welcoming environment. This role involves being the only chef in our open kitchen with support from our kitchen porter.
The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and preparation, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and excellence in the kitchen. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This role requires a blend of culinary creativity and leadership skills to maintain a high standard of service in what can be a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Proven cullinary experience within a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
  • Ability to foster a positive working atmosphere.
  • Proficient cooking skills with an emphasis on steaks
  • Extensive kitchen experience, including knowledge of culinary techniques and trends.
  • Demonstrate a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
  • Understanding of hospitality principles to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Working alongside the bar owners to inspire and motivate the team.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the industry.
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing adaptability in a unique setting.
  • Ability to serve as a role model for junior staff while promoting teamwork.
