We’re looking for passionate chefs from all levels and backgrounds to join our friendly team at The Old Wharf Inn – a family-owned, canalside pub known for real ales, craft spirits, and good food.
Ran by landlord Jack, our small but lively pub sits on the corner of Canal Street, with a decking area overlooking the Stourbridge Canal – a great spot for locals and visitors alike.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience cooking with fresh food (preferred, but not essential)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen with a clean-as-you-go mindset
  • Organised, team-oriented chefs with a passion for great food
  • Background as a Sous Chef, Grill Chef, Line Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef – or anything in between!

Food & Drink at The Wharf

  • A seasonal menu and unique bar snacks served throughout the day
  • Breakfast & coffee service – a key part of what we do
  • All ingredients sourced locally: butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, fruit & veg suppliers
  • Carefully chosen wines, craft spirits, guest ales, premium lagers, and ciders

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients
  • Follow a first-in, first-out rotation system to maintain quality
  • Keep cooking stations fully stocked, especially during peak service
  • Ensure food storage units meet high standards at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and break down the kitchen at the end of shifts
