We’re a bustling cafe seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team! As a Chef with us, you’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting delicious dishes to our customers. Venue located in werribee and is one of the well known spot among locals.. The Venue is looking to employ quality personnel to fill a position with applicant expected to have excellent grooming, a cheerful disposition, take pride and passion in their work and have a can-do attitude. Quality produce, exceptional presentation and excellent service will be the cafe’s mantra along with being considered an employer of choice.
The Venue is open for Breakfast, and Lunch 7 days per week.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, season and cook food, meeting dietary requirements where required
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Oversee and manage kitchen operations.
  • Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
  • Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
  • Menu planning and discussion of menu ideas with Management
  • Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored correctly
  • Monitor portion control and production flow
  • Monitor stock, place orders and receipt goods on delivery
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Adhering to WHS standards and procedures
  • Mentor staff

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the role you should:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial cookery or a related field.
  • Minimum one year experience in a similar cuisine
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
  • Be able to work in both a team environment and individually
  • Have a positive, proactive attitude

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
