OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess 2–5-years’ experience in chemical process system design from the conceptual phase through design completion.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for process design and layout creation.
  • Strong project scheduling capabilities to ensure timely completion of engineering projects.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis techniques relevant to chemical engineering applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts aimed at optimizing production efficiency.
  • Experience in fabricating equipment or prototypes for testing purposes.
  • Knowledge of Chemistry Manufacturing Controls (CMC) and Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
  • Interest or experience in quantum engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment design, calculations, and analysis. Develop deliverables such as hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, Heat and Material Balances, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Develop instrument process data and specifications.
  • Clear understanding of the steps of project development from front-end engineering design and level of detail required in each step of project development.
  • Optimize the operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Commissioning new production unit.
  • Develop strong technical understanding of the processes. Analyze laboratory and plant data.
  • Provide daily technical support for production processes, utilizing technical expertise to resolve plant issues.
  • Experience with Process Hazard Analysis studies including review and implementation of action items, LOPA studies.
  • Work closely with Technical, Operational and Maintenance resources to identify, develop, and implement improvement projects.
  • Engage with the operations team to promote safety and reliability improvements.
  • Support and assist in investigating incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide operational oversight for the MOC process, as needed.
  • Provide back-up assistance in the absence of process engineers when needed.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with all stakeholders.
