JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Metals Chemical Engineer with expertise in nitinol and experience in laboratory and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and validating processes involving nitinol and other advanced metals for use in medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, biomedical, mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience with nitinol, including shape-memory alloy behavior, processing, and applications.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or laboratory environments is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in mechanical testing and metallurgical analysis tools (e.g., SEM, EDS, XRD).
• Familiarity with regulatory standards in medical or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Preferred: Experience with additive manufacturing, corrosion testing, or electrochemical analysis.

• Materials Expertise: Develop, test, and optimize processes for nitinol and other advanced metals, focusing on their properties and applications in pharmaceutical and laboratory environments.
• Process Development: Design and validate processes for manufacturing components and devices that meet regulatory and industry standards.
• Testing and Analysis: Conduct mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing of nitinol and other metals to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support the development and scale-up of metal-based products.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including process protocols, validation reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials and processes comply with applicable standards, such as ISO 13485, FDA regulations, or other relevant guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve material and process-related challenges in both lab-scale and production environments.
• Innovation: Stay updated on advancements in metallurgy and materials science, particularly in nitinol applications, to recommend improvements and innovations.
