The successful candidate will have:

•  Degree in Metallurgy (BSc) or Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Resilience, ability to adapt and be flexible with changing and competing priorities
• Ability to influence others, accept individual accountability, and manage time and workload effectively
• An ability to communicate clearly and effectively – written and oral
• Strong interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest to move into a leadership role in the mid to long term

 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some of:

•  Production planning, forecasting and optimisation for resource utilisation and unit cost
• Initiative to identify production inefficiencies, investigate, and apply practical solutions
• Detail oriented and strong Technical Report writing
• Exposure to non-ferrous metal smelting or pyrometallurgy, and heavy industry is desirable
• Exposure to Wonderware Historian, SQL data management, and Power BI or other visualisation software is desirable
• Strong computer literacy with advanced MS Excel

 Reporting to Smelter Management, an attractive package, commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate will be offered.
