Company ownership through Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(K) Discretionary quarterly bonus and yearly salary increases We are seeking a safety-conscious Chemical Operator for our Richburg, South Carolina facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining plant machinery and overseeing the production process to ensure the safe and efficient production of high-quality chemical products. Responsibilities: Operate various equipment such as reactors, pumps, and valves to facilitate chemical production processes. Continuously monitor process parameters including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations to ensure efficient and safe operation. Record readings, test results, and observations on log sheets, including equipment and process issues. Adjust process parameters to maintain product quality and optimize production efficiency. Conduct routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by properly handling and disposing of chemical waste and byproducts. Maintain accurate records of production activities, batch records, and safety inspection reports. Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and address operational challenges. Identify and report problems and accidents to shift leader and/or plant manager. Comply with all applicable statutory regulatory requirements including FDA, ISO, and Responsible Care. Qualifications: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two years of related experience in chemical manufacturing, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of chemical processes and equipment operation. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Must pass drug screening, complete a background check and physical, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Work in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to chemicals, fumes, and loud noises. Ability to work on a 3-person crew, 12-hour shift with a 4-week rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 production operations. Must be willing and able to work on-call, PTO coverage, and overtime shifts/hours, as necessary. Lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Climb stairs, ladders (up to 140 feet), and platforms as needed. Stand for lengthy periods in hot or uncomfortable conditions. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Wear appropriate PPE, including masks or respirators.
