($20.00)    2nd shift hours are 3pm - 11:30pm Monday through Friday. ($3.00 shift premium)   SUMMARY OF JOB Provide support to the production department by maintaining the chemistry quality to designed engineering standards for our plating tanks at Hohman Plating.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintains established chemical limits for plating tanks * Transfer & add chemicals to buckets and tanks/baths based on schedule * Change filters and anodes based on schedule * Dumps, cleans and replaces chemicals in tanks/baths * Wear and maintain proper PPE as defined by department * Adequate computer skills for data entry and electronic sign off (Microsoft Office Skills) * Load and unload materials using forklift * Make-up temporary tanks for special processes * Be responsible for completing all scheduled items within plating cell * Inspect tanks/baths daily to ensure no leaks, tanks are topped off to a specified level * Identify out of tolerance readings and notify Lab Supervisor of any out of specification results * Maintain 5s/Lean concepts established company-wide & by department * Perform weekly scheduled audits of 5’s within Solution Control Departments * Maintain equipment: by inspections before and after use and generating repair work orders as needed * Ability to communicate and perform in a fast paced team environment * Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE * High School Diploma or GED preferred; prior experience with chemical solutions, fluid handling systems or waste water treatment systems preferred; must have strong problem solving abilities with a focus on attention to detail; must pass forklift certification.
