Description Job Summary: The Finishing Operator works in a high production rate environment processing polysilicon final product while exhibiting a high level of commitment to maintaining company safety and quality standards. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: · Typically, 8 hr/day M-F with OT as needed · Maintain a high degree of quality focus on personal work and awareness to Customer impacts · Willing to worth with and help others meet our business goals in a large team · Work inside of clean room environment requiring don and doff of dedicated clean room garments approx. 6 times per day as well as PPE for cut / puncture protection · Work with 2 other operators in a 10 x 10-ft area while twisting & maneuvering around carts and tables · Manually size, sort, visually inspect, & weigh to 11-lbs small, sharp, rock-like pieces for defects within different customer specifications · Perform seed and cut rod inspections · Frequent changes of plastic sheeting and gloves for product protection · Operate label station computer systems · Maintain electronic records of seed/bridge production, including lot numbers, quantities and seed lengths using MS excel and Label Station. · Work around moving parts · Organize and maintain inspection paperwork for total product traceability records · Operation of static & in-motion weigh scales and bag sealers · Use of calipers, tape measure, rulers, etc. for measuring and checking finished work · Keep work area clean throughout the day and before leaving shift · Inspect baskets and carts for defects · Move emptied carts and baskets to upstream areas · Evaluate the logistics of material flow through process areas to ensure operational efficiency · Ability to learn and perform repair tasks on equipment · Perform clean room maintenance and cleaning · Maintain product and operating supply inventories · Additional duties as assigned that may include climbing ladders, operating scissor lift, or assisting others performing heavier duty tasks · Data entry and retrieval from MS office (Word and Excel) and the use of computer software including DCS, AspenTech, LabelStation Basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage, and average calculations Requirements Physical Requirements: · Ability to work entire shift while standing at approximately 4-ft height inspection table · Push / pull and maneuver approximately 230-lb carts through crowded spaces · On occasion, move 50-lb baskets of P-Si between carts for sorting and staging product · On occasion, bend to Lift up to 50 lbs. from below the waist to approximate 4-ft height while twisting · Lift and twist while holding 11-lb bags during course of shift (up to approximately 180 bags) · Ability to retrieve product from floor level and reach elevated surfaces during cleaning · Expect to manually handle approximately 2000-lbs per day as inspection operator and 14,000 lbs per day as a label station operator · Inspect, weigh, and seal approximately 25-lb cylindrical P-Si rods while standing · Inspect, weight, and seal seed products weighing approximately 10-lbs in bundles of 16 · Climb Ladders, stairs, and use of Scissor lift to work at elevation with fall protection if necessary · Completion of Full and half face respirator fit testing · Work in confined space Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; further education and certifications such as Chemical Operator, AIDT, ISO 9001 and/or 14001 are preferred
