This role is responsible for mixing chemical batches by following standard formulas, applicable instructions and current standard operating procedures. What You Will Do: Review daily mix schedules and ensures the raw materials required are available Follow mix instructions and accurately adds raw materials to the mixes manually, using pumps or mixing systems Mix batches using variable agitation Perform routine observation of product during the mixing and filling process to ensure batch quality. Report any out-of-spec raw material, premixes or mixed batches and consults with Quality personnel on any batch adjustments. Properly cleans out all mix tanks Operate fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps and other material handling equipment to transport raw material and finished product Perform building and equipment preventative maintenance Perform other duties as assigned Position Details: Plant location: McDonough, GA Work Week and shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm Work week and shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm Compensation package offered: $25.00 + (.50) shift differential Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED 1 year of previous experience working in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment 1 year of experience in understanding systems, pumps, reading meters, basic Quality Control data, and tracking mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.) 1 year of performing basic Quality Control tests (take samples, perform pH tests) Excellent attention to detail; must be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documents 1 year of reading and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials, and finished goods No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs Must be able to participate in respirator fitness, if required Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam Preferred Qualifications: Experience working safely and efficiently in a chemical or manufacturing environment Experience reading and following standard operating procedures and safety protocols Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical handling Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools Excellent organizational and communication skills Experience working effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment About Ecolab: At Ecolab, we prioritize our talent-first philosophy by creating the most capable and diverse team to excel at our nearly three million customer sites.
