We have an immediate opening for a Chemical Technician at our Mississauga Anodizing Plant.
Can Art Aluminum Extrusion is a privately held North American based extruder of standard and custom aluminum profiles. Can Art Aluminum expanded operations, adding a modern 45,000 sq ft anodizing facility in Mississauga.

POSITION SUMMARY

In the role of Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for properly maintaining and troubleshooting our Anodizing Process Tanks and our Waste Water Treatment System. This will involve laboratory work to analyze the baths, making the appropriate tank additions, as well as manual tasks such a cleaning filter presses.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform Titrations and other lab analyses.
  • Make chemical additions to our process tanks as required.
  • Monitor and adjust out treatment settings of our Waste Water Treatment System
  • Clean and or replace various filters as required.
  • Work in a team or lead a crew of general labors on maintenance days.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment
  • Other assigned work as required

What You Bring

  • Completion of Chemical Engineering, Bachelor of Chemistry, Diploma in Chemical Laboratory Technician preferred
  • Experience using and calibrating lab analytical equipment
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Electro plating or anodizing experience would be an asset
