JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Chemist to join our dynamic team. This role is for candidates with intermediate to advanced levels of experience and will support technical, manufacturing, and commercial activities. The Chemist will be responsible for the management and execution of a variety of assignments, including quality control testing of production batches, field sample testing and reporting, assisting with new product development, as well as other duties.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field with a GPA of at least a 3.2.
  • Experienced in product testing and basic research.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office and Outlook and efficient typing skills.
  • Ability to write reports based on analysis and communicate findings.
  • Strong work ethic and organization skills with ability to follow through on projects with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take instruction and work well with others.
  • Knowledge of GHS and other regulatory requirements in chemical industry a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine quality control testing on finished goods.
  • Work with manufacturing to help resolve quality and production problems.
  • Perform routine analysis on field samples and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain product data and other records.
  • Participate in some field work trouble shooting.
  • Assist in Research and Development, learning to formulate new products.
  • Implement specified tests and determinations in order to answer quality questions and address problems of customers.
  • Provide technical service and knowledge to customers and sales associates. Visit customers when required to assist the commercial team.
  • Help perform competitor analysis on a variety of products as requested.
  • Ensure that all equipment and machines in your area of control are managed with regards to safety, maintenance, calibration, and availability.
  • Perform project work in cooperation with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Perform customer requested product analysis and testing.
  • Assist the company with ISO compliance.
  • Perform routine analysis on field samples and prepare detailed reports.
