Self-motivated PD technician/ scientist/ chemist who enjoys working in an international team
Minimum 8 years of work experience in laboratory environment
Strong practical lab skills
Theoretical and practical experience in silicone chemistry and/or SMP technology
Self-dependent & efficient planning and performing of lab work & tasks
Strong organizational skills
Good English skills in speaking and writing, German language is a plus
Responsibilities
Develop new products based on silicone and SMP (Silane-modified polymers) technology within the AMI EIMEA product development team
Plan and do physical lab work such as preparation of formulations, synthesis of raw materials and polymers, analysis & testing of batches, products, competitor products, compiling of results and discussion with lab head
Support scale-up, pilot and customer trials
Ensure high standards regarding safety, 5S, lab organization, and tidiness
Continuously learn, develop and implement new testing methods and lab skills
Train other lab members regarding formulation know-how and test methods especially in the area of silicones and SMPs
