Purpose of Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled professional who can independently manage and execute technical responsibilities with confidence. You’ll bring deep expertise in your technical field, using your knowledge to solve complex challenges and drive innovation. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team, while also building strong relationships with our operational, commercial, and regulatory partners. Your contributions will play a key role in helping us achieve our strategic business objectives.

Main Accountabilities:

• Take initiative to identify, report, and enhance safety-related concerns utilising available tools and systems.
• Independently organise and implement technical work packages within established projects.
• Analyse and critically evaluate data (experimental, application, or business) to derive and present conclusions.
• Develop and sustain technological expertise and capabilities in relevant technical fields.
• Demonstrate adaptability in applying skills across various areas within the Innovation function, such as synthesis, application, and analysis.
• Analyse and critically assess data to draw and present conclusions in an appropriate format.
• Provide sound rationale for recommendations on technical matters in fields of expertise.
• Establish a network among local technical and commercial teams as well as support services.

Person Specification:

• Either BSc (with experience in industrial environment) or MSc Degree in Chemistry, materials or polymer science related field.
• Experience organic or polymer synthesis.
• Experience analytical techniques such as DSC, GPC, TGA, and DMA desired.
• Understands the basic correlation of chemical composition of materials and their applications properties in a defined field.
• Knowledge in key confidentiality concepts and the basic anatomy of a patent.
• Knowledge regarding chemical hazards in own working areas and properly handle chemicals and waste.
