JOB OVERVIEW

Campden BRI conduct analytical chemistry testing on food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits. Our non-exhaustive list of food testing includes:

• Chemical analyses
• Analysis of the physical properties of foods
• Identification of chemical and physical contaminants
• Authenticity testing
• Evaluation of how a product tastes and what the consumer thinks of it
• Development and evaluation of testing methods
• Specialise analyses for wheat and flour
• Beer, wines and spirits analysis

REQUIREMENTS

• You will be a dedicated Chemistry graduate.
• Experience of using your initiative and the ability to take responsibility (evidenced by volunteering, extracurricular activities, work).
• Interest in food & drink analytical chemistry.
• Competent in the use of Excel and Word.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment would be beneficial b ut not essential.
• Ability to undertake routine analysis with minimal supervision.
• Good organisational skill for managing workload and complex projects.
• Well-developed communication skills.
• We work Monday- Thursday 8.45am to 5.15pm and Fridays 8.45am-4.30pm
  We’re based in a peaceful rural area, which means public transport isn’t available nearby. To visit us, you’ll need your own reliable transport, as there aren’t any local rental options.
