This position is a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for High School Chemistry for 2nd semester 2026 (January-May 2026). There is a potential for the Long-Term Sub to become a regular, full-time employee beginning in the 2026-27 school year. Job Requirements & Qualifications: Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith. Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and biblical worldview perspectives found in science to their students’ lives. A demonstrated interest in science and a clear understanding of how to teach chemistry effectively. Comfort with or openness to learning school management software and other online teaching tools such as Google Classroom and the Google suite. Ability to work with all functions - administration, support staff, other faculty, and students. Prior teaching experience, a teaching license, and a graduate degree in Science is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for teaching high school chemistry during the 2nd semester of the 2026 school year. The role may transition into a full-time position for the 2026-27 school year.
