About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chess Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners learning the basics to advanced players preparing for tournaments.

Responsibilities

  • Teach individual and group chess lessons (in-person or online).
  • Develop structured lesson plans tailored to students’ abilities and goals.
  • Foster critical thinking, sportsmanship, and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare students for competitions, tournaments, and chess club events.
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in chess (USCF, FIDE rating, or demonstrated competitive experience preferred).
  • Prior coaching or teaching experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Patience and adaptability to different learning styles.
  • Ability to inspire enthusiasm for the game.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
