JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organised individual who has a passion for making a difference in their community. The role will be to grow the effectiveness of the partnership, coordinate its activities and to maintain strong links with and between the partners. Although this role will need you to visit activities, artists and partner organisations, you also have office space provided in a community co-working space at Monkey Park Works (in Brampton, Chesterfield).
The coordinator will support the core partnership team and the Barrow Hill Community Trust board of trustees (as one of these partners) in ensuring that the partnership thrives, is sustainable and creates maximum positive social impact.

Responsibilities

Building and sustaining strong, empathetic & listening relationships with partners – including local artists; schools; community groups, charities, voluntary & faith organisations; youth work organisations; local businesses; statutory organisations such as local authorities & NHS trusts.
An agile thinker who can adapt to changes in circumstances and can take advantage of opportunities .
Maintaining positive collaboration & communication relationships with other local groups such as the Health & Wellbeing Partnership and the Derbyshire Community Hubs Network.
Controlling the finances of the partnership and the activity programme.
Providing regular financial and progress reports to the trustees, the core partnership team & funders.
Organising and facilitating meetings of the core partnership team.
Procuring / commissioning artists and other organisations to deliver the partnership’s activity programme.
Working with delivery organisations & artists to arrange and run community events.
Supervision and line management of the marketing officer, assistant and volunteers (assisted by the core team and BHCT trustees).
Capable with IT (online calls, documents, email & spreadsheets) & finance.
Committed to high standards of customer service.
