Objective: Chick-fil-A Tanger Ottawa is currently hiring for a Shift leader for their daily restaurant operations.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

  • Ensure all guests receive remarkable service during the shift, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Lead by example in delivering Chick-fil-A’s “Second Mile Service” and maintaining hospitality excellence to fulfill our mission: “To win the hearts of the Kanata community every day through great and safe food, quick and accurate service, and exemplary hospitality.”

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
  • Must possess a calm but authoritative demeanour
  • Must possess the ability to handle a highly demanding and fast-paced restaurant
  • Must possess the ability to provide clear and concise communication
  • Must possess strong personal characteristics; primarily humility, and a willingness to collaborate and learn
  • Must possess the ability to use and train on various technologies including iPads and POS systems
  • Must have 1-3 years of leadership experience and/or a Bachelor’s degree/College diploma
  • Must possess or pursue a food handlers’ certificate before resuming position

Responsibilities

ROLE VISION

The Chick-fil-A Shift Leader supports the overall operations of the restaurant during a shift, working closely with the Team Leader to ensure smooth and efficient service. They assist in managing team performance, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role acts as a bridge between team members and the leadership team, providing hands-on support and guidance throughout the shift.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (AS NEEDED):

  • Monitor inventory levels during the shift and address shortages if necessary.
  • Assist with break schedules and ensure labor compliance.
  • Be available to work operationally in positions when required.
  • Track shift performance metrics and report updates to the team leader
  • Other duties as assigned by Team leader
