Job Description As Chief Accountant, you'll be essential to building the hotel's financial integrity and systems ahead of opening. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll: Lead the design and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, tax, general ledger, and month-end close. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow), ensuring compliance with IFRS, Lao GAAP, and Minor Hotels standards. Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, partnering with department heads for financial planning. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to prepare audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions. Train and supervise accounting staff, defining KPIs and driving continuous process improvements. Support the revenue management team by providing financial insights and managing revenue recognition processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA preferred. 5+ years of hotel accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and pre-opening financial setup. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Lao tax regulations, and financial reporting. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Opera, SunSystems, SAP) and MS Excel. Analytical mindset with exceptional accuracy, ethics, and confidentiality. Fluency in English and either Laotian or Thai.
