As the Chief Accountant of our 100% foreign-invested ITO (Information Technology Outsourcing) company specializing in providing top-notch IT solutions to clients worldwide, the Chief Accountant will oversee the financial operations of our group of legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local regulations and efficiency in financial reporting and management. Our operations span across multiple legal entities in Vietnam, Singapore, and Switzerland. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial records and reporting. You will lead the accounting team and collaborate closely with various departments to manage financial processes, analyze data, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of Vietnamese accounting regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards to maintain our financial stability and compliance. Financial Reporting and Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the preparation, review and timely submission of financial statements and reports in compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards, tax regulations, and international accounting standards where our legal entities operate. Ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions, including revenue recognition, expense allocation, and asset/liability management. Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local tax regulations where we operate. Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant tax laws and regulations, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns, VAT reports, and other required filings General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation of accounts. Review journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheets to verify accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and reviews. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial stability. Process Compliance and Improvement: Control, monitor and ensure relevant process compliance, identify areas for process optimization and automation within the accounting and finance functions, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and internal controls to safeguard financial assets and maintain compliance. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including finance, legal, HR, and operations, to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Risk management: Proactively identify and communicate potential risks to the Management team, enabling timely and effective mitigation actions Team Leadership and Management: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on daily operations, professional development, and performance evaluations. Coordinate team activities to ensure deadlines are met and work is distributed efficiently. Collaborate with overseas accounting agency to deliver financial reporting and tax as per required (if any). External Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, regulatory authorities, auditors, and tax authorities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, VACPA) is highly desirable. Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and management. Profound understanding of Vietnamese accounting regulations, tax laws, and IFRS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with financial software and ERP systems. Experience with Power BI if preferable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Proficiency in English with 4 skills: listening, speaking, writing and reading Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
