Join us and become the member of Belgrade Waterfront team as: CHIEF ACCOUNTANT   ROLE SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping, month-end and year-end closing processes, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger through regular trial balance reviews and account reconciliations. It coordinates external consultants for the preparation and submission of financial statements and tax returns, maintains effective relationships with banks and other external partners, and provides financial reporting to management and shareholders. The role also supports internal and external audits, ensures compliance with applicable accounting, tax and financial regulations, monitors legislative changes, and contributes to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and controls.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Timely and accurate bookkeeping, month and year-end close process * Conduct regular review of trial balance and account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance * Coordinating external consultants for the timely preparation and submission of financial statements and tax returns * Maintaining effective liaison with banks and other external partners * Reporting for management and shareholders * Supporting internal and external audits * Ensuring compliance and improvement of account payable policies and procedures * Monitoring changes in legislative regulations in the field of finance, taxes and accounting   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: * BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field * Minimum 8 years of proven experience in finance and accounting * Proven experience as a team leader * Knowledge of local and international legislation in finance, accounting and tax * Knowledge of IFRS * Experience with MS Office, SAP/Oracle or any major ERP system * Fluency in English   SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: * Sound understanding of process and transactional flows * Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of general ledger accounting principles * Strong analytical skills paired with knowledge of financial analysis and business concepts * High level of operational effectiveness with the ability to deliver quality results   WHAT WE OFFER: * Work in an international environment * Opportunity to work on one of the most prestigious projects in our region * Competitive compensation package   If you are confident that you meet the above requirements and you are interested in developing your career in a dynamic international organization, please send your application.
