JOB OVERVIEW:

Emirates Talent Solution is seeking an experienced “Chief Accountant” with 3 to 5 years of experience in the signage and outdoor media advertising industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a solid understanding of financial management principles, the ability to lead financial teams, and expertise in the media advertising sector.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CA or ACCA Finalist/Qualified.
  • Master in Accounting & Finance is preferred or any other equivalent degree/ professional certificate.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10-12 years of experience in accounting and finance role, candidates having 3 to 5 years of managerial experience in the signage and outdoor media advertising industry will be preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of International GAAP, tax laws including VAT, financial compliance and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zohobooks, SAP and MS- Office Suite , or similar platforms.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential financial information.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans. Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, analyze financial performance, prepare variance analysis and recommend measures of improvement.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare, review and analyze financial statements, reports. Ensure all financial reports are complete, accurate, and in compliance with local regulations and tax laws. Oversee internal & external audits, ensure all financial records are accurate and update in timely manner.
  • Monitor Cash Flow: Monitor and manage cash flow, revenues, and expenses regularly, ensuring that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs. Provide insights and recommendations to address variances and improve financial health.
  • Cost Management & Budget Control: Monitor expenses and ensure effective cost control throughout the company. Review and approve expenditures and manage financial resources to ensure optimal utilization. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Maintain monthly reconciliations of bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, and VAT submissions while implementing the up-to-date knowledge and best practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Optimize Accounting Processes: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows. Implement best practices and automation tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team by providing training, guidance, and support. Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Support Audits: Prepare and organize required documentation for internal and external audits. Address audit findings and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with operations, finance, and senior management to support business decision-making through financial insights.
