Description
As a Chief Accountant, you are responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your expertise in accounting and financial management will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the hotel. Key Job Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Assist in coordinating internal and external audits. Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions. Implement effective internal controls to safeguard financial data and assets. Assist in the budgeting and financial planning process. Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making. Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets. Manage cash flow, optimize liquidity and funds availability for operational needs. Coordinate cash management activities, including bank reconciliations. Implement cost-control measures while maintaining service and quality standards. Participate in procurement processes, including vendor negotiations and contract management. Stay informed about accounting technology trends and recommend system improvements. Ensure the efficient use of accounting software and tools. Lead and mentor accounting colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, prioritizing guests' and colleagues' health and safety, as well as environmental conservation. Adhere to hotel environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
