Job Description We are seeking a Chief Accountant to lead all statutory accounting, tax compliance, group reporting under IFRS, and general financial operations for our newly established legal entity in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. During the early phase, the workload will be manageable/low, with support from the General Manager and a regional Chief Accountant. As the business grows, the role will expand accordingly. The role additionally includes HR, administrative, and procurement support activities, typical for new-entity setups. Accounting & Reporting Lead full statutory accounting using 1C; ensure accurate records, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close. Prepare IFRS-based group reporting packages for regional/corporate teams. Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Tax, Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with local Kyrgyz tax, VAT, social contributions, and statutory filings. Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, banks, and local regulators. Support internal/external audits and ensure timely submission of all requirements. Systems & Process Development Operate current ERP (1C) and support the future SAP Business ByDesign implementation. Improve processes, controls, and reporting standards. Cross-functional Responsibilities Support HR administration (contracts, onboarding documentation, payroll inputs). Assist in administration and procurement, including vendor management and basic office operations. Support the GM during the startup stage where multifunctional involvement is needed. General Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis. Ensure compliance with internal policies and Code of Conduct. Qualifications Must-Have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (Master’s or certification is a plus). Strong knowledge of IFRS, group reporting, and statutory accounting. Practical experience with 1C (mandatory). Experience with SAP or strong desire/aptitude to work with SAP in upcoming implementation. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, power query, complex formulas). Knowledge of local Kyrgyz accounting, tax, and compliance requirements (or transferable CIS-region expertise). Professional level English; Russian preferred. Nice-to-Have Experience in newly established entities/startups. Experience in HR/Admin/Procurement tasks. Background in multinational companies.
