Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, tax, and statutory reporting activities of Sika Ukraine, ensuring full compliance with Ukrainian legislation as well as Sika Group policies and standards. • Maintain the company’s system of accounts and ensure accurate recording of all transactions in line with Ukrainian legislation and Sika Group instructions • Provide tax planning and compliance with all local tax legislation and corporate rules • Co-operate with and supervise external accountants, auditors, and tax consultants • Coordinate the work of the internal accountants in the department • Prepare and timely submit all reports required by state bodies • Organize and manage local obligatory audit • Coordinate the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation • Post transactions to form COGS of imported goods • Post and register outgoing VAT invoices, post and review incoming VAT invoices • Reconciliation with suppliers and customer Qualifications Master’s or bachelor’s degree in accountancy, work experience as chief accountant or chief accountant deputy, preferably in multinational companies Deep knowledge of Ukrainian accounting standards High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accuracy Commitment and motivation, excellent analytical skills Languages: Ukrainian native, English fluent Good knowledge of modern ERP/accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV/ Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel Independent working attitude Proactive approach in problem solving and analysis of possible tax consequences of different processes and transactions.
