YOUR MISSIONS

I am looking for a Chief Accountant with strong expertise in US accounting standards (US GAAP) to coordinate the financial operations of a US-based entity. This is a permanent, fully remote position within an international group in the professional services sector.
As Chief Accountant for US operations, you will be responsible for all financial and accounting activities of the US entities, ensuring compliance with the group’s internal standards and supporting strategic financial initiatives. You will oversee reporting, controls, and processes, manage a small accounting team, and work closely with the Group CFO and other finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and intercompany transactions
Prepare financial statements and internal reports
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies
Manage cash flow forecasting and daily treasury operations
Oversee billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
Coordinate payroll in collaboration with HR and external providers
Support audit processes and act as the primary contact for external auditors
Optimize accounting systems and processes, including the use of SAGE and other tools
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Administer and oversee the 401(k) plan, including reporting and audits
Manage real estate entities, including required county and state filings
Oversee the insurance portfolio (workers’ compensation, general liability, and property), ensuring adequate coverage for current and future activities
